Anime: Binchou-tan

How fun it looks like to be as young as those in this anime. This is one of the cute short anime's which has only 12 episodes, but each of them are only 12 min long.
The first two episodes does only contain a few dialogs, from the storyteller. This story is about a little girl, binchoutan, who is living alone in the forest, and have to go down into town everyday searching for new small work, to gain a little money or some food.

Do not ask me why she put a log on her head ^^"

This anime shows the beginning of new friendship, and follows the main person throughout nearly a whole year. The first episodes shows a Spring-theme, and is the most idyllic moments in the whole anime.
The main difference between this anime and other anime's is the drawing-technique.
The focus is on making the characters look like small chibi, with big eyes, not a lot of details in clothing or hair which immediately makes them even cuter

I will add up a short introduction clip from the two first episodes:

I do not own the video, it's from youtube

Manga: Love Hina

A picture of the first volume
It's been a while since I read Love Hina, but it's one of my complete manga-series :)
To tell a little about the story; The main character is a boy named Urashima Keitarou, he's not very good at school and some would call him a loser. The story's main point is about Keitarou's childhood girlfriend who moved away when both were very young and still in kindergarten (I think).
They made a special promise to both get into the best school in Tokyo, Todai (Tokyo University)

This is the one and only Keitarou!

But as I have already told, Keitarou is not the smartest guy, and the first time he appears (Other than the intro), we get to know that Keita (I will short down his name from now on) had failed the entrance exam to Todai, the 3rd time in a row, and is nearly giving up. Well to make a long story short, without spoiling too much, he remembers that his grandma owns a hotel and decides to go there. What he didn't knew was that the hotel has been made into a girl's dorm which make things a liiiitle different than what he had in mind.. ~

Hotel Hinata (grandma's hotel)

Anyway, that's just a little summary of the first pages of book nr. 1. Personally Love Hina is one of the first series that I ever bought and personally I love this one. It got humor and great moments. On top of that, you'll really feel sorry for Keita throughout the book. It's not too long too long either
The Manga is 12 books
The anime is 24 eps + Some OVA and extra side-stories

After my opinion this is not a manga you'll grow tired of and I'll definitely give it a high grade I would even give it  a 6/6 :D

A little extra: For the boys (and girls too) there are alot of fanservice in this manga (:

Just a reminder, you should spend 1.5 hour on the OVA too
"Love Hina Again", to get the real end :3
You'll not regret it ^^
